Daily Schedule Overview

At our school, we believe a structured daily routine helps students thrive both academically and socially. Below is a general outline of the school day to help students and families plan for a successful year:

Morning Arrival

  • Doors Open: 7:30 a.m.

  • Arrival & Breakfast: Upon arrival, students report to their Grade Level Holding Room (located in either the Gym - 7th and 8th graders or the Auditorium for 6th graders); students needing breakfast may get this in the cafeteria before entering Holding Room.

  • Transition to Homeroom: At 8:00 a.m., students are released to their Homerooms upstairs.

Homeroom

  • Time: 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

  • Homeroom is a time for morning announcements, daily attendance, and preparing for the day ahead.

Academic Schedule

  • First Period Begins: 8:30 a.m.

  • Students rotate through four core academic classes during the school day.

  • Enrichment & Related Arts:

    • 6th & 7th Grade: Attend Enrichment during 2nd period.

    • 8th Grade: Participate in an additional Related Arts class during 2nd period.

  • All Students: Participate in at least two Related Arts classes daily, offering opportunities in areas such as art, music, world language, and physical education.

End of Day

  • Dismissal: 3:30 p.m.

  • Students are released by intercom to ensure an orderly and safe dismissal process.

Attendance Policy

  • The school day is 7 hours long.

  • To be counted as present for the day, students must attend at least 3.5 hours of instructional time.

All students must be picked up by 4:00 p.m.  

Scheduled Half Days

On scheduled half days, school will dismiss at 12 p.m. Lunch will not be served.
