Setting the Stage for Family Success
We are excited to announce the 2009 Annual Parent Conference will be held on Thursday, November 19. 2009! First presented in 2006, the Parent Conference has grown each year. This is the second year of collaboration between Knox County Schools Title I District Advisory Council and Project GRAD Knoxville Parent Board of Trustees to offer a learning experience to empower and equip parents. The major goal of the conference is to enhance parent awareness about how to be an effective school-home partner in strengthening student academic success.
Who should attend?
Every parent/guardian in Title I and Project GRAD supported schools who has an interest in investing in opportunities to help their child to achieve success in school.
Why should parents/guardians attend this conference?
Conference attendees will be provided:
· Relevant and practical information on supporting children’s learning environments
· Skills to assist in building students’ academic skills
· Opportunities for networking with other parents and expert educators
